Art Song Perth is a non-profit organisation which seeks to enhance the
musical life of Western Australia through the performance
and promotion of art song. In addition to presenting an annual recital
series featuring established and emerging artists, Art Song Perth awards the
Evelyn and Ralph Thompson Memorial Scholarship, a cash prize, to a singer or
accompanist showing outstanding potential for further study in Australia or
overseas. The award is adjudicated by a panel of prominent Western
Australian musicians, and in 2010 will be held on 20 November.
